.NET Domain Names

When the Dot NET universal top-level domain was first started in 1985, along with the first domain extensions on the web, it was planned to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure entities. Given that there were no special regulations about the usage of the top-level extension, though, dot NET domains were bought and used for various purposes and by loads of people. This domain extension is a good substitution for .COM, particularly if the necessary domain with the latter domain extension is not available for registration.

Getting a dot NET domain with our company is simple and takes only a couple of minutes, considering that we partner with an ICANN-accredited registrar firm. You can buy such a domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years, or, if you already have a domain, you can move it over to our firm and we will renew it after the transfer process is finalized. Transfers are available for all domains, which are at least 60 days old, given that they are unlocked and that you have acquired an EPP transfer authorization code – security measures introduced by the dot NET Registry organization against unauthorized transfers. You can easily change the WHOIS information of the domain through your Control Panel, or, if you don’t want this information to be public at all, you can get an identity protection service, so no one will be able to see your true contact information.

The .NET domain extension supports internationalized names, so you can take a decision if you want to aim at a particular country or territory using a domain name in the local language, or the global Internet community – using a generic English name.
