A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to inactive email addresses under the same domain. For instance, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get email messages from pals or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some point you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be redirected to a third-party mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting
You’ll be able to set up a catch-all email mailbox without any difficulty in case you’ve got a shared hosting plan with us. The Email Manager in our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet really easy to use, and it will permit you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with no more than a few clicks of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be listed alphabetically in this section and to the right of each of them you’ll find a mini "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking on it once will enable this feature, clicking on it once again will disable it. As you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will notify you if you already have another mailbox with this option enabled or if you have enabled email forwarding.
